(Strip Number 427, Original Publication Date, 23 June 1983)
Panel 1: As a glum Elly pays Mike his allowance, he's happy that now that he's got it, he has sixteen dollars saved towards his roller skates.
Panel 2: As he looks around in his room, he asks where the rest of said sixteen dollars are. The money he had was in his jeans pocket.
Panel 3: Elly hems and haws as she says she guesses that's what she found in the laundry this morning. When she tells him she spent it, he asks why.
Panel 4: She looks somewhat embarrassed as she tells him that she thought it was John's.
Summary: I guess Mike learned another lesson: never leave money in a pocket in the same house as a sticky-fingered idiot who insists on being an infant when money is concerned.
