FBORFW Newsletter: June 2012

The new newsletter is up and Winstuff Punk Dude has been replaced by Winstuff Grinning Lady in a Tilley Hat.

We're thrilled to see some summer weather here in our neck of the woods, and even more thrilled that blackfly season is winding down.

Looking for a Father's Day gift for Dad? Keep reading, because we've got an idea for you in this issue.

For Father's day, we've posted our Dad's Day matching game and our free egreets.

Ok, here's our Father's Day gift idea: We've been keeping you up to date on our progress with the Farley golf club cover; we're happy to report they've arrived! They're a terrific present for a golfing Dad (or one who's into hand puppets!) and a percentage of your purchase will go to the Farley Foundation. Get yours here.

Want to read 30 years of Father's Day strips? Check them out here.

Congratulations to everyone who's graduating from something this June! Here's our collection of graduation strips. If you're headed to college, or have a university-bound loved one, we recommend our Leaving Home book. Lynn and her friend Andie Parton created this book to help the newly-independent find their way - it's full of good advice.

Want more chances to win FBorFW prizes? Like our Facebook page. Don't forget to try your luck at our Ned Search contest; we pick a new winner every week.

The studio crew has just returned from the Reuben Awards, which were held this year in Las Vegas. The National Cartoonists Society presents the Reubens every year; think of them as the Oscars of the comic industry. Lynn loves meeting up with her cartoonist friends every year, and the NCS sure knows how to throw a party. Congratulations to this year's Reuben winner, Tom Richmond! Check out our Facebook page for some of our trip photos, and see below for a shot of Lynn trying out the zipline over Fremont Street.

Lynn will be a special guest this year at the San Diego International Comic Con. The con runs from July 12-15 and will be hosting plenty of talented artists.

We keep getting asked "How do I get FBorFW by email?" Universal Uclick offers two types of accounts on GoComics.com - paid (Genius) and free - and both allow you to get comics by email. Sign up for your free account here. You can also learn more about the difference between services and upgrade to Genius level if you wish.

This month's challenge: tell us what your favourite online cartoon is (other than FBorFW)! We'll pick a winner to receive a surprise FBorFW gift.

Use coupon code GLADGRADS for 8% off orders this month! This coupon is good until the 31st!
