We come to the point of this week's arc: Lynn's failed attempt to add a new character to the strip. This is because Lawrence is all about how great it is that Janice doesn't act like a crummy old girl.

(Strip Number 413, Original Publication Date, 31 May 2012)

Panel 1: Lawrence declares that he's never going to fall in love either because he HATES girls. (Hilarious in hindsight much?)

Panel 2: Mike asks him "Even Janice? The one you gave your bubble gum cards to?"

Panel 3: Lawrence declares that she ain't no girl, she's better.

Panel 4: He then gets all appreciative and weird about how she can blast a spitball fifteen feet without even trying.

Summary: More stilted dialogue from a woman who doesn't quite get that a lot of the reasons that boys and girls don't much get along at that stage is that children in the later part of their first decade of life are trying desperately to figure out who they are and, if memory serves, do so by declaring what they are not.
