(Strip Number 401, Original Publication Date, 16 May 1983)
Panel 1: We find ourselves at Phil's place where he greets Elly and the short one with a cheery "All right!!"
Panel 2: Elly tells him that she thought they'd stop by before telling an obviously distressed Lizzie to stop screaming.
Panel 3: Elly reacts to her daughter's wanting to go NOW by growlingly whining that they just got here.
Panel 4: As Elly walks away scowling about the evil, selfish, horrible monster who doesn't want her to see her brother, Phil says that it's nice to see a friendly face.
Summary: What we have here is another example of Elly's on-going war against having to understand little kid logic. Given that the last time she went to his place, Mommy and Daddy yelled at her for being a bad little girl who killed the fish because children are EVIL!!!! and love CHAOS!!!!, her mind has made the association "Phil's house = being yelled at" and thus makes it a place to avoid. The problem is that she should be making the association "having free will = being yelled at."
