(Strip Number 389, Original Publication Date, 16 April 1983)
Panel 1: As John glowers in the background, a beaming Mike tells Elly that the two of them sold all the chocolate bars he got from school.
Panel 2: She says that's wonderful but is curious as to how he sold them all that fast.
Panel 3: As Mike smiles at the money, John, who's holding the rest of the bars in his arms, tells her to have some chocolate.
Summary: I was just going to say "Poor baby!" in a condescending tone of voice but am somewhat confused by wondering where the money Mike was witlessly allowed to put in his pocket instead of in an envelope, can or collection box went. I do know that John is so dead set against helping his children that he'd take a stupid short-cut but I didn't expect it to be THIS stupid. Speaking of 'stupid', the real-world reason that this happened is that Aaron supposedly got conned by older children who told him that they'd sell his chocolates and give him the money.
