Lynn betrays her inability to know how children think again today. She also reminds us that on some level, she regards her daughter as a rival for her husband's affections.

(Strip Number 381, Original Publication Date, 29 March 1983)

Panel 1: We find Elly telling Lizzie that she'd better not wear that bonnet around the house as she wouldn't want to spoil it before the Easter parade.

Panel 2: Nizzie wanna wear it, Mom, pwease? Nizzie be careful!

Panel 3: As she gets a hug from a delighted John, she smirks and thought-bubbles about how it turns him into mush.

Summary: Lynn's notes are about how she still has the silly thing in storage and not about what matters: why the hairy hell she thinks a three-year old thinks like this.
