(Strip Number 6015, Original Publication Date, 7 April 1983)
Panel 1: Having noticed John smiling again, Jean asks him if Ted has once again been telling him how great it is to be single.
Panel 2: John confirms this by telling her that he does make a pretty convincing case.
Panel 3: She jabs him in the chest and asks him how many dishes he can cook. He says three and asks why.
Panel 4: Her response is to saunter off triumphantly and tell him to think it over.
Summary: My response is to mutter angrily about how she assumes that men cannot cook or clean up after themselves and lack the capability to learn how. Since she assumes that it's a wife's lot in life to be a homemaker on top of whatever else she's doing, she's not nearly as progressive as she thinks she is.
