Panel 1: As she brings in the groceries, Elly tells Lizzie that in order not to upset Daddy, they're going to make that little trouble that they had with the car earlier their little secret.
Panel 2: They're going to forget all about it and pretend it never happened. Lizzie says "Uh huh" in agreement.
Panel 3: Lizzie rushes up and greets John with an enthusiastic "Daddy! Daddy!"
Panel 4: She then tells him that it's okay and she and Mommy didn't have an accident. Elly stares in horror because the awful child betrayed her anyway.
Summary: The Lynnsight will probably reinforce the basic premise Lynn is trying to go for here and bleat about how odd and inconvenient is that children cannot or will not keep secrets that well. It'll also remind us that Lynn is not only completely unaware of how children think, she's damned proud of it. Anyone with two clues to rub together would tell you that what Elly did was exactly the wrong thing; since we'll get a lot of letters telling us about other embarrassments, we'll find out that Lynn's fans are as oblivious to how children think as she is.
