Panel 1: We find John scratching Farley's ears and musing that it must be nice to be a dog.
Panel 2: After all, someone feeds Farley, brushes his hair and rubs his back guaranteed and he doesn't have to deal with deadlines,
Panel 3: We then see Farley pant and scratch himself.
Panel 4: John thought-bubbles that a working man like him knows that he's had it when he envies something as low-down as a dog.
Summary: We get it, John. You hate your life and everyone and everything in it. We've always known this and don't need a whiny reminder of it.
